5. Introduction of Self-Challenge 2022:

In light of the fast-changing pandemic situation, the virtual race permit application has been adjourned. As a result, the event organizers have decided not to host an official virtual race. However, they have opened the registration system as a self-challenge platform.

The necessary groundwork has already been laid, including the evaluation and approval of the race course, the implementation of TrailMe trackers, and the setup of the registration platform, Active.com. The event has also obtained ITRA points and UTMB Qualifier status.

6. Benefits of Self-Challenge:

Participants who choose to run the self-challenge can still make use of the scheduled route, information, registration link, and TrailMe tracking. Although there will be no race pack, bib, or podium prizes, participants can enjoy various benefits.

By registering on Active.com and using TrailMe to time the challenge, participants will have access to TrailMe tracking, timing, e-certificate, and the opportunity to obtain ITRA points if they finish within the allowed time and period. Furthermore, participants will receive a prize recognizing their completion of the challenge.

The first 80 finishers, based on the TrailMe record, will receive an additional gift of Crampfix/Spring Gel courtesy of Gone Running. Participants are advised to keep their Strava track as backup proof in case ITRA verification is required. It is essential to note that without the official organization, participants are responsible for their safety and must adhere to the governmental regulations on gathering bans and social distancing.

7. Safety Measures:

Participants engaging in the self-challenge must prioritize their safety. It is crucial to adhere to the government’s regulations regarding gathering bans and social distancing. Since this is not an official event, participants should take responsibility for their well-being during the challenge.
